Key Link from 9th Avenue Main Street

Connecting the 9th Avenue SE commercial corridor directly to the Industrial Heritage Precinct, 14A Street SE will be redesigned as a vibrant and well-treed street. Pedestrians will enjoy new boulevard spaces on both sides of the street, providing space for new landscaped vegetation to overhang. Further distance between pedestrians and moving vehicles will be provided, increasing walkability and safety. By taking cues from existing great pedestrian environments and greenways, and by extending 14A Street SE through to the heart of the Brewery-Rail Lands site, the Greenway becomes an important gateway and a welcoming transition for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers alike into a new mixed-use community.
